Journal Publication Option

Extend the impact of your research

As an option exclusive to USNCM, interested authors may be considered for publication in the 2027 volume of the Proceedings of the Combustion Institute (PROCI). Submission for PROCI is completely optional and separate from the traditional USNCM 2027 conference presentations and (non-peer reviewed) conference papers. Interested authors will indicate their interest in consideration for PROCI at submission of the final conference paper, and submissions relating to all topics are welcome. The Program Committee will evaluate the conference papers of those authors interested in consideration for PROCI, and selected papers will then be invited to re-submit their manuscripts for consideration for publication in PROCI.

Note: Papers submitted for consideration for publication in PROCI will be subject to a separate, rigorous peer-review process handled by the PROCI editorial team consistent with the high-quality publication standards of PROCI.

PROCI Paper Submission Deadline

Eligibility Information:

To be considered for an invitation to submit to PROCI, authors must meet eligibility criteria: (1) at least one author attends the 15th USNCM, and (2) the corresponding conference paper was presented at the 15th USNCM.

Selection Criteria:

The Publication Committee will evaluate the conference paper submissions for all authors interested in submission to PROCI. This evaluation will assess the readiness of the work for PROCI submission as demonstrated in the 8-page USNCM conference paper including the relevance, novelty, correctness, and completeness of the work. Invitations will be sent to selected authors to submit their PROCI manuscripts via the Editorial Manager (EM) portal.
